For FPGAs and PLDs, we have system design experience with Altera (Quartus II/Max Plus II), Xilinx (Foundation ISE), and Actel (Libero IDE), using a combination of graphical design files, VHDL, Verilog, and IP cores.  We have reduced entire PC based test sets with a single hand-held FPGA based device.

For embedded applications, we have experience using TIs Code Composer Studio, implementing DSP/BIOS, Multichannel Buffered Serial Ports (MCBSP) for SPI communications, EDMA for control and acquisition of accelerometer data, Multichannel Audio Serial Port (MCASP) for streaming audio data, and External Memory Interface (EMIF) to SDRAM and Flash for bootloading and data logging.  Low power embedded applications, such as the MSP430, are developed using IAR.
